Stephen Shachtman

As a native to northern Colorado,

Stephen Shachtman has a wide gamut

of artistic tendency, from utilitarian creations

in jewelry, furniture and lighting design to

abstract sculpture. From personal sculptural

creations and private commissions, to public

art such as, Stephen’s sculpture “Bridge,” which was voted

Denver’s best new public art project in 2013

When he’s not metalsmithing or remodeling his Mid-Century

modern home, he is busy teaming up with his wife, chasing around their three-year-old son, Dov. His wife Shoshanna works with individuals and couples in her psychotherapy practice located in FortCollins. In addition, Stephen has been teaching jewelry design/metalsmithing at Metro State University in Denver. Stephen’s current studio is located near downtown Loveland. Most recently Stephen completed the WilsonWatchmen commissioned by the City of Loveland, located on the Wilson bridge overlooking the Big Thompson river.
