Mary Landis

Mary Landis is a visual artist from Loveland, Colorado working primarily in oils and pastels. She describes her painting style as traditional realism/impressionism. Her studio is nestled among the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, which elicits inspiration for many of her paintings. Other subject matter comes from her travels or any image that sparks her interest. Mary’s constant challenge is to conquer the poetry of light, depth and to make her paintings her own interpretation.

Mary studied art at Colorado State University, Denver Students Art League and the Loveland Academy of Fine Arts. Participation in national, regional and local exhibits, volunteering for community art programs, conducting workshops and teaching art classes keep her busy in the art world. She has received recognition and awards on both national and regional levels. Her art works are distributed in personal and corporate collections throughout the United States and abroad.
