Deb Komitor finds those special places within nature that communicate and connect. She settles into them, is patient in her observation, and pays attention to details. Her warm interpretations invite the viewer to stay, investigate, and take in the details— just as she has done. Komitor’s vivid color choices appear almost photographic. Yet, her nearly pixilated portrayal of nature asks the viewer to take a step back in order to see the works fully realized. She is sharing a moment of intimacy that demands attention.
