Tanner Steed

Through hard work and dedication, Tanner Steed is on a fierce upward trajectory in the art world. While teaching at Sand Creek Elementary, Steed found every moment during his day to improve. Through sketching hundreds of imaginative prompts by smiling children, Steed improved quickly. From sketching on lunch breaks, to rigorous study after teaching, Tanner soon found himself working under his mentor, Daniel Sprick.

Tanner Steed is a full-time oil painter and is on the faculty of the Art Students League and Broadmoor Gallery Guest Artist. He paints romanticized works with deep appreciation of the innate beauty of all subjects. Since moving on from the Elementary School he can be found working tirelessly in his studio in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.

Steed has studied with his mentor Daniel Sprick and has attended workshops with Robin Cole, Quang Ho, and Anna Rose Bain. He has received scholarships to the Portrait Society of America and is currently in Rome painting with Daniel Sprick.
