Jeanne Mackenzie is a Colorado resident living in the Fort Collins area. She loves a style of painting that is a blend of impressionism and realism reflecting her favorite western landscapes. Educational background included a Bachelor of Fine Art and Teaching Credential from San Diego State University and a Masters of Education from Colorado State University.
Jeanne’s artwork has earned prestigious awards and shown at juried shows throughout the United States including the American Women Artists, Oil Painters of America Show, CM Russell Art Invitational and Arts for the Parks-Top 100. She has been featured in Plein Air Magazine, Southwest Art Magazine’s Best of the West, International Artist Magazine-Master Artists , and American Artist Workshop Magazine.
Her work has shown in the Houston Museum of Natural History, Tucson Museum of Art and New York’s Rockwell Museum. Jeanne has been on staff at the Denver Art Museum teaching color theory, composition and painting.
