Steve Landis is a full-time studio artist originally from the Midwest. He holds a BFA in advertising design from the University of Denver and a MFA in sculpture from the New York Academy of Art in Manhattan.
Steve’s figuratively based works can be large or small and are realized from many different mediums including bronze, clay, wood, steel and others. “I believe working in a single medium is restrictive to my process.”
He has received national recognition for his sculpture, both public and private, with awards from the National Academy of Design, Allied Artists, Audubon Artists, the North American Sculpture Exhibition, Art in Public Places, Anaheim, California, 2023 Peoples Choice Award from Douglas County Art Encountrrs among others.
He has lived in France, Austria and Mexico which has had a profound influence on his art. In 2014 he moved his studio from San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, to Loveland, Colorado where he now lives.
