Kay Juricek received a BFA from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and an MS from Columbia University, New York, N.Y. She was raised on family farms in Nebraska and later lived in Wyoming prior to moving to Denver.
Her works have appeared twice in New American Paintings, the Artist Magazine and Escape Into Life literary magazine, as well as in regional and national juried and invitational shows such as “the Art of Illusion” Pomona California, the Coors Western Art Exhibit and Sale in Denver, and the Western Spirit Art Show and Sale in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
“The western American landscape has a mystical quality to it: the high plains and mountains, expansive uninterrupted vistas, the wide open quiet in the long light of dusk in a country that is never lonely, but instead beautiful and full. My work is about the West with all its transcendent beauty.”
