“I approach painting as a quest of discovery.   Touching brush to canvas, I delve below the surface of a scene seeking beauty not apparent at first glance.  Building on layers of paint, an image becomes something more…something deeper.”

“Having practiced graphic design, I am attracted to the contrast that patterns of sunlight and shadows create, not unlike the shapes of typography on a page.  My love of design informs my painting compositions and is reflected in the subject matter I choose to interpret.”
