Ana Maria Botero – Loveland, CO
Ana Maria is a contemporary artist who was born in Bogota, Colombia. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota where she lived and worked for several years until moving to the USA.
Her work comes from an emotional response to the relationships of forms, and the magic of the empty space that transcends the shape and finds equilibrium.
Her background as an architect and her origins influence her art.
In 2019 Ana Maria won 1st place at Pebeo International Competition held at Menier Gallery in London, UK.
She won the Meininger Award in 2018 and Best of Show in 2021 at the Summer Art Market in Denver.
