Within the joy of creating paintings, Dix has participated through the years in Arts for the Parks, Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale, Colorado Governors’ Art Show, Gilcrease Museum Miniatures, Sangre De Cristo Museum, and The Western Master’s Art Show.  Collections include: The Booth Museum, Yellowstone National Park, The Broadmoor Hotel, and Gateway Canyons Resort.
